Prior to the founding of Island Consulting Group, Bob has held various senior level executive positions in the Manufacturing and Service sectors. His experiences in change management and process improvement were crucial components of his success. From implementing entire Business Process Reengineering programs to upgrading individual processes, managing the process of change has been a core component his career.
He has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University and an EMBA from the Stern School at NYU in Management.
Joseph M. Johnston - Process Engineering
Prior to joining Island Consulting group, Joe was the Director of Process Engineering for a major medical device manufacturer. He has managed and implemented numerous process improvement projects which have increased manufacturing throughput, reduced material handling costs, and reduced machine set-up times. He has also specified and implemented improved material storage systems to better utilize existing warehouse space. He has extensive experience in both high-volume and one-up manufacturing environments. He is also experienced with Total Quality Management (TQM) training and implementation.
Joe has a BS degree in Industrial Engineering from LaSalle University.
Peter E. Mealey, PMP - Project Management
Pete is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). His background includes degrees in Industrial Engineering and Management Information Systems. He has been in the Information Technology field for 15 years and has held several positions in the Systems Development and Project Management areas.
Pete is very experienced with the Systems' Development/Project Life Cycle (SDLC/PLC) and has had exposure to many methodologies and techniques (including the Unified Modeling Language-UML, PriceWaterhouseCoopers Summit-D, MS Project, and NIKU (ABT) Workbench, etc). He also has experience in Software and Business Process engineering, Business Consulting, Team Building, Client/Vendor Management, Risk Analysis, and System Analysis and Design. His experience also includes mainframe (MVS/COBOL/DB2) and Client/Server (UNIX/Java/Oracle) application development.
